Director's  Report – Bryan Nygren (Carlsbad)

It was good to see some familiar faces at the Ruidoso Show.  I look forward to next years show wherever it may be.  I want to take a minute to tell you about myself since there are several new faces. I am married to my wife, Marcia, of 25 years.  We have three sons, Tanner - 22, Travis – 19, and Trevor – 14.  My wife is an elementary school teacher.  I retired in September 2008 from the N.M. Game and Fish after serving 25 years as a Game Warden.  I am currently operating Bryan’s Taxidermy in Carlsbad.  I am also a game manager for a 70 section ranch along the state line south of Carlsbad managing mule deer, quail, javelina and Rio Grande turkey.  I trap in the winter for the fur market and under a federal contract to research trap designs on Swift/Kit Fox.  I look forward to working with fellow taxidermists to improve the taxidermy profession as a whole.
